GIRLS WHO GET IT- ASHLEY LEGER (online edition)

I met Lady Complex aka Ashley Leger on Twitter and she is now my permanent blood, kidney and high heel donor! i luh this gurl! She may sound familiar because I interviewed Ashley in the Live to Tell section about the loss of her mother and how that experience has made her a stronger woman. Thank you again Ashley for your honesty. Her tell it like it is attitude and hilarious Southern humor are a few of the reasons I wanted to profile Ms. Lady Complex.
After being diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression shortly after her mothers passing in 2008, she chose to replace the prescription medication with journal writing. Once her friends read her entries, they rallied around her until she got her own blog up and rolling in early 2009.
She writes under the pseudo Lady Complex on www.MyLadyComplex.com, speaking on taboo subjects and controversial topics with witty and sarcastic commentary. She also gives her followers a birds eye view on her personal life and experiences with relationships, family, and her social- or lack there of life. Ashley is a proud “Social Bitterfly”
Currently, Ashley is penning her memoir "The Beautiful Tragedy" about the calamitous death of her mother and the bonds that were broken with family members. In between the chapters, Ashley started "I Live" a support group based in her hometown of Lake Charles, LA. “I Live” is focused on young adults succeeding in spite of unfortunate life experiences. "The importance of knowing how many people suffer with addictive parents and households, or the death of loved ones is the key to picking up pieces for some people. This is an easier way to help others and myself as I am still learning how to cope."
By dealing with her past and paying it forward for others future, all while making them laugh, are just a few reasons for her awesomeness.
Ashley Leger aka Lady Complex is a Girl Who Gets It.
