Shania = su-per-star. Born in the same small town as my own mamma, the beautiful Shania Twain took the long way to the top. Growing up in the middle of nowhere, Ontario Canada life in the rough outdoor climate was demanding and summer jobs included hard outdoor labour, which was physically demanding and male dominated. An odd place for such a stunning lady! Time with guys made quick wit and thick skin the perfect weapons for life in the music world.

Tragically, Shania's parents died together in a car accident leaving Shania to raise her siblings with the money she hustled by singing in tiny resort hotels, restaurants and anywhere that would have her. Finally making it, Shania's first album had a few #1 hits and after her second record, she married her producer Mutt Lange. Together they wrote stunning love songs and released the mega-smash Come On Over (34 million sold!).

Making music with her husband and hitting it big! Shania had the fairytale...until he blindsided their family by them for her best friend!!! Crushed, and consumed - all those love songs left meaningless - Shania did the right thing and stepped out of the spotlight. For almost a year she retreated to Switzerland with her family and focused on all that she did have. In the face of disaster Shania proved to have her priorities straight, staying grounded and surrounded by her family.
