GIRLS WHO GET IT - FANTASIA

She was raw, authentic, sincere and she'd lived it. You could hear it in her voice.
After she won Idol, she penned a memoir "Life is Not a Fairy Tale" and admitted to being raped by a classmate in 9th grade. The shame of that led her to drop out and by 17, she was an unwed mother. The worst was that she was functionally illiterate and was unable to read to her own daughter. When Fantasia was thrust into my living room, all that didn't just go away. Shoot, I'm sure the spotlight highlights all of your imperfections and when you aren't this care bear role model, you're judged by girls like me who don't even know you.
Recently there have been rumors of her stepping out with a married man, and a new tell all reality show "Fantasia for Real" that shows her taking accountability for past career hiccups and plans for forward momentum.
This woman was put on this planet to saaang, not sing, saaang, and whenever I see her perform I get goosebumps. Let's keep an eye on her and see how this story turns out. I'm hoping for a happy one.
(No Auto-Tune here. Patti @ 3:31 = priceless)
