My ex emailed me last night. I haven't spoken to him in 7 or 8 years, though he has crossed my mind many times. I guess somewhere deep down I still held a flame for him and his contacting me, well, it's super confusing! This guy was the super love of my life until I met my husband. It ended because we lived in different cities and his career demanded travel.
Fast forward what feels like a million years - I'm married. He has a family and is living his life. He said he was with a mutual friend, thought of me and decided to reach out. I wrote back, kept it friendly and vague but how does this end? It didn't seem fishy, or like he was trying to do any funny stuff, but how far does friendly have to go? Oh, and he said he was going to be coming to my city in a month. Eeek! Someone tell me what to do!!
Should I tell my husband I talked to my ex?
Do I try and rekindle a friendship with him?
Or do I stop communication before it turns into a Carl Thomas song!?!?
